The work of Dutch artist Shueti ranges from high-profile commercial films to personal fine art projects. Artistically autonomous, he is always looking for new ways of seeing to drive his innovative style defined by cinematic power, poetry and sophisticated aesthetics. A passion for extreme sports, street art, photography and design courses through his films which have earned him nominations at the Amstel Surf Film Festival, the Dutch film festival NFF, as well as first place at ART ON FOAM for Quicksilver and at the Face-Off Video Festival in Los Angeles. In all genres, he harnesses motion as the key element, and whether following a dancer’s trajectory or the invisible hand of wind across a field, his camera movements are bound to move you.
Cinematic AI is here, and we are excited to share this beautiful piece created by our talented director and artist, Shueti.
“How to Escape the Matrix,” narrated by XXXTentacion (RIP).
Shueti:
"It’s amazing yet painful to see the endless possibilities. I love the creativity that comes with it. But as someone who enjoys the time spent on set with real people, I can’t ignore how fast things are changing…"
When SHUETI was asked to come up with a concept for the Breaking Boundaries campaign for accessories and apparel brand Mystic, he created the A to X concept. It focusses on the powerful force of gravity.
A force all Mystic Athletes defy.
In this first Eyeforce x SHUETI project, the abstract and conceptual mind of SHUETI proves to bring an exciting style to our portfolio.
NO MAN’S LAND is a kaleidoscopic portrait of a team of bullet biters. Instead of seeing their old lives swept away, they see new frameworks emerge in the corona crisis. If fate takes everything out of our hands and even wipes our streets clear, what happens then? Are we discovering something new? It is a visual rendition of the fragile and penetrating ‘monologues intérieur’ that we carry with us when the hamster wheel stops turning.
This is the zeitgeist of tomorrow captured in the words and imagination of a motley group of inspiring individuals; from tattoo king Henk Schiffmacher, to actress and entrepreneur Hanna Verboom, from hip-hop artist Dio, to violinist Noa Wildschut.
Shot analogue on 35mm film as a tribute to the unfiltered era. The abrupt transitions are vividly framed by the eclectic Amsterdam cityscape: from the stately Concertgebouw to the neon-filled windows of the Red Light District.

'The earth's pull, which is the principle cause of this phenomena, leads to an imbalance between the balance and the hairspring. To compensate for this and to rebalance the two components, their aim has become to mitigate the negative effect of gravity on the movement to the point of compensating for it entirely. Jaeger-LeCoultre masters the art of this precision with their Tourbillon.'
A commercial for Jaeger-LeCoultre in which SHUETI once again shows us how everything is connected trough movement.

G-Star came up with the odd idea of using chess player Mr. Carlsen in an advertising campaign, but creating something odd was just the point. The core idea of the brand was to create surprising and contrasting combinations.
Shueti translated G-Star’s design ethos and life philosophy into an abstract commercial that calls you to think and re-think every move, by always moving forward.

Shueti was asked to create a videoclip for Amon Tobin's track ' Lost and Found'. Alone, and armed with just a camera Shueti traveled to the Indian Thar desert to document a serene emptiness where the Aghori (priest) dedicates himself to meditation.
Moving in a trance and flipping from reality to the unconscious worlds, a
transcendent state of 'being' overcomes the limitations of physical existence.
