Our relationship with nature not only defines our history, it shapes our future, too. Yet beneath the surface of Iceland’s fjords, an industrial fish farming method threatens to destroy one of Europe’s last remaining wildernesses. Open net salmon farms wreak havoc on the fragile environments they’re placed in, polluting pristine ecosystems while mistreating the farmed fish and driving local salmon populations to extinction. It’s an industry at odds with Iceland’s untouched landscape, and as a growing local movement has shown, nothing replaces nature. Laxaþjóð | A Salmon Nation tells the story of a country united by its lands and waters, and the power of a community to protect the wild places and animals that helped forge its identity.

For anyone that has cruised the streets of Johannesburg, the site of the city’s ‘street surfers’ is as much a part of the landscape as is that of the high rise metropolitan skyline.
Frank Solomon, a big wave surfer and marine activist from Cape Town South Africa, travels to meet two exceptional men, Thabo and Mokete, who indirectly serve the environment through recycling as a means of income. This is the untold story of new friendships, shared experiences and common interest between individuals that are worlds apart.

The Armstrongs - a short film documenting a South African surfing family that lives a life not many would deem conventional. Ian (46), a provider, shaper, former Big Wave World Champion and above all else, a father, along with his wife Lee (45) and their 8 children and 1 grandson redefine ‘what is normal’ and challenge the perspective of modern family values. The Armstrongs share strong bonds with each other and the ocean; making a point of placing well being, unity, love and a genuine connection with nature above financial gain and status. This is their story.

Brutalism is an abstract and conceptual execution of how skateboarders see and make use of urban spaces. With this film we aim to showcase a skater’s notion with regards to the concrete environment we find ourselves in every day. It speaks about a skater’s reinterpretation of space - and the advancement of how these spaces are used in ways that the architects themselves could never have imagined.
A skater offers a revolutionary perspective for the architect, one that allows you to see buildings beyond what they were intended to be.
Brutalism is a short film by Renze Roye and Dylan Boerstra.

Take 4 celebrities, come up with the most insane challenges, and let them battle agains the skills of the Dutch Marines…
Marines VS. is a series that shows the Dutch Marine corps at it’s best. Each episode a Dutch celebrity traveled to the far corners of the earth to challenge the Marine corps with a crazy mission. It included a manhunt in the jungle of Belize, a desert race in Arizona, killing a ‘Call of Duty legend’ and stopping an extreme kitesurfer from entering the Dutch coastline.
The series was broadcasted on Discovery Channel and online, and became one of the most successful campaigns for the Dutch Marine Corps.
On a wave hunt aboard the famed Bulan Baru, Eyeforce linked up with a handful of the world’s best surfers in efforts to document the dreamiest of strike missions through the Indonesian Archipelago
Immerse yourself in everything that comes with exploring places unknown, and light up that sense of adventure, paradise is calling.
With new waves and new setups along the journey, reality is quickly blurred through the veil that is the Bulan Baru, where the status quo is built around the pure need to surf. Welcome, ‘New Moon’.

The video gives insight into a loving relationship from the point of view of 'the boyfriend'. Little details, stupid things, and charming elements are the things why he's in love with her, even when that means eating kebab, walking into metro gates, and acting out the same film scene every single day.

The tale of how one big wave surfer disconnected from the digital world to reconnect with himself by spending time with one of the oldest communities in the world Frank Solomon is a professional big wave surfer, passionate environmentalist and humanitarian.
The Capetonian has lived most of his life outdoors actively living out his dreams. Hard lockdowns due to the global pandemic forced him inside and ever more into the digital realm. Way out of his comfort zone he – like so many others – relied on screen time for work, play, socialisation and even sourcing food. It became his survival tool and it nearly killed his spirit. Something had to be done...He had to regain his senses and sense of self.
To do this, Frank disconnects from all manner of screens and goes in search of ancient wisdom. The film takes us West on a journey deep into the heart of Namibia where Frank connects with the oldest indigenous community on earth, the San people. Frank lives with them for an extended period of time, immersing himself in their ancient ways of life. Without modern communication gadgets, tents or even basic necessities such as food and water, the viewer is there for every authentic experience as he hunts, eats and lives with them.
It’s tough and hugely frustrating at times, with very stark realities and realisations, but therein lie the lessons and ultimately, for Frank the reason why he travelled so far: The experience has helped him regain his senses and his connection to nature... In escaping the noise of the modern world and its multitude of screens, he learned how the San have been living for thousands of years without leaving a footprint. He learned what it means to really be living.

“The biggest swell of the season is about the hit Indonesia, we have a big boat and we are going to try to find a wave that has never been surfed properly… do you want to come? If so…. you should leave by tonight.”
That is the phone call we got. And we packed our bags. The boat named Bulan Baru (new moon) turned out to be the most beautiful wooden ship, and the un-surfed wave was nothing short of a dream.
We got our RED EPIC into its water housing and captured the best waves of our lives.

Fink has been one of our favorite bands for years. It’s music served as a soundtrack for many of our overseas adventures. When we got the chance to shoot a documentary about Fin, the lead singer of the band, we teamed up with our buddies at Tommy N Lance photography to create an intimate portrait.
Less Alone takes viewers into the mind of Fin Greenall, writer, composer and frontman of the band Fink. In a psychological journey through dark places and musical inspiration, Fin finds himself struggling to balance his thoughts. Surrounded by judgement, appreciation, and with little mental space, Fin digs in deep to find the meaning of it all.

MODULAR is the last in a serie of 5 films we made for DGTL festival. The film builds further on this year’s overarching theme of Modularity. In engineering terms, it means the degree to which a system’s components can be separated and recombined. In nature, modularity refers to the construction of cellular organisms, that join together their standardized units to form larger compositions. While in music, it hints to the modular synthesizer, one of the most common instruments in dance music. The theme reoccurred throughout festival efforts, its Art and Revolution programs and its stage designs.
‘I am home’ is a visual sci-fi poem about a simulation going through different stages of self-conceptualisation.
We were invited to Bulgaria to work together with EXE and Stratospheric on something extraordinary. As part of the launch for a new club in Sofia, EXE wanted to release a short film that touched upon the social aspects of their brand. The abstract story we created revolves around a female simulation that goes through various stages of self-conceptualisation and identification. From the very basic act of recognising her own body to the complex analysis of social identity. ‘I am home’ is ultimately a first glimpse at what is going to be a new home in Sofia, built by a very inspiring group of people.
Based on a true story, Rooted in Shadow is a soulful coming of age film that revolves around a kid trying to follow in the footsteps of his father who is a boxing legend. Until he decides to use his boxing skills in a unique way and creates his own destiny.

We believe nothing is set in stone when it comes to creativity. Sometimes, out of sheer passion an idea originates and results in something beautiful.
That’s exactly what happened with this music video. Editor Jay de Jong was nothing short of a die-hard fan of the band Lonely the Brave (tattoos included). So he decided to give a go at directing their new music video.
He spend many after hours developing the concept, script and visual style for the film. And with passionate work comes intangible reward;one of the band members commented that this was his favorite music video ever.

NO MAN’S LAND is a kaleidoscopic portrait of a team of bullet biters. Instead of seeing their old lives swept away, they see new frameworks emerge in the corona crisis. If fate takes everything out of our hands and even wipes our streets clear, what happens then? Are we discovering something new? It is a visual rendition of the fragile and penetrating ‘monologues intérieur’ that we carry with us when the hamster wheel stops turning.
This is the zeitgeist of tomorrow captured in the words and imagination of a motley group of inspiring individuals; from tattoo king Henk Schiffmacher, to actress and entrepreneur Hanna Verboom, from hip-hop artist Dio, to violinist Noa Wildschut.
Shot analogue on 35mm film as a tribute to the unfiltered era. The abrupt transitions are vividly framed by the eclectic Amsterdam cityscape: from the stately Concertgebouw to the neon-filled windows of the Red Light District.

The 7 noble men of the cirque mondiale represent the 7 stages at the biggest winter festival in Holland called Valhalla.
These characters are half-man half-animal, which inspired director Stijn Waterman to throw some visual fx at it and create something that is half-real half-surreal.
If you listen carefully you’ll hear the sound fx in the film were looped and used to create the melody for the house track that’s playing.

Today is a gift. That is the slogan of the biggest festival in Holland; Mysteryland. It’s a place where many music cultures and subcultures meet, and where creativity flourishes.
Director Bob van de Gronde studied how music and sound affect our emotions, how it makes us move, how it unites us and how music makes the hair in our neck stand up when that perfect note hits. This aftermovie reflects a lot of these things, but above all it is a tribute to dance culture.

Every second breath we take is generated by life in the oceans, and it’s up to all of us to protect them. The Air We Breathe dives deep into Parley’s global mission to safeguard our planet’s blue spaces – meeting the activists, scientists, Indigenous leaders, surfers, volunteers and marine biologists dedicating their lives to protecting the seas.
Shot on location with Parley country teams and their collaborators across three continents, Season 1 sees the crew traveling to Australia, Hawaiʻi and South Africa to uncover the unique relationships between people and the ocean in each region. The short films explore not only Parley’s work intercepting marine plastic pollution, but the deeper connections the organization is forming with local and Indigenous communities – people who have secured the land and seas for millennia and ultimately hold the key to their survival.

The narrative revolves around a young boy who reflects on what peace means to him. The project is centre around the importance of teaching the younger generations about peace and how it positively impacts society as a whole.
The youth plays an pivotal role in shaping the world that we live in, therefore in these troubled times the value of peace increases as it is a commodity to society.
Through celebrating the sub-culture of Panstula, the project AYASHISA AMATEKKIE shines a light on how the dance brings forward a positive change in the younger generation. As second-generation pantsulas become evangelists and elder statesmen of the culture, a younger set of dancers is joining the fray—and bringing change with them.
The project also highlights how a community and the spirit of Ubuntu plays a vital role in defining greatness for the youth of South African. As the culture’s footprint expands, so do the opportunities for well-paid work in the country. Now there’s a growing sense that what’s good for some can be good for all, and the pantsula scene is becoming more cohesive because of it.
With a new sound of kwaito being born, the sub-culture of Panstula is ever evolving and embraces one of South Africa's more decorated sub-cultures.
"The story revolves around Amanda, who is gifted to see the unseen and communicates with the ancestors. Her sister’s (Mosa) sudden & tragic death forces her to embark on a spiritual journey as she seeks answers from the higher power."
This two part series entitled ‘Free Surfers’ starts by taking us back in time with Big Wave World champion and three-time Western Province surfing champion, Cass Collier. In a three-minute narration of his eventful childhood, he reveals how his father overcome the racial disparities of Apartheid laws, and introduced his family to some of South Africa’s most beautiful beaches.
